Publishing a Gumroad product is not distribution. Waiting for marketplace traffic is usually waiting for nothing.

Fix the page first
Before traffic, make the first screen trustworthy: clear cover image, readable price, specific buyer, specific outcome, and a simple CTA.
Create one free diagnostic
A checklist, calculator, or scorecard is easier to share than a checkout page. It lets communities judge the thinking before seeing the product.
Write three search-led articles
- one for the painful problem
- one for the buyer's workflow
- one for the product category
Use community comments, not link drops
Answer real threads first. Only share the free asset when it is directly relevant or requested. The post should still be useful if the link is removed.
Make free listings about the free asset
Directories are more likely to accept a useful diagnostic than a paid product bundle. Submit the scorecard, checklist, or prompt as the asset.
Recruit affiliates after the page is credible
Revenue share works better when the page looks like something a partner would not be embarrassed to promote.
